n my opinion, to check whether a writer is smart, he has to show what he regards as the source of writing. For a Chinese writer, the socalled source of writing is exactly the land, upon which his two feet stand, a land where he is born and brought up.
The fact that these two books rank the top gives us a direction that the development of publishing original children’s books of China in this country must be deeply rooted in our own civilization and cultural genes.
如果一位作家,已经具备了很强的能力、丰富的经验,并且十分勤奋,那么,他就更加需要通过了解读者和受众群体真正的需求、通过向世界顶级的科普读物学习,并且在自己的创作中不断试错、调研和研发,从而创作出质量向世界级水平看齐、销量达到千万级的少儿科普读物。
一个作家不管多大岁数,心中永远要装着读者。只有心怀读者,把自己的创作和读者的需求结合在一起,才能创作出贴近读者的好作品。对于儿童文学作家来说,不仅要关心小读者,还要关心老师和家长。
有句话说“无童书,不出版”,我觉得这是一个怪圈。如果每一个出版社根据自己的出版战略,根据自己的发展定位来明确自己的细分市场,明确自己的发展目标,那么,不管做“大而全”还是做“小而美”,都是很有市场价值的。
